Pluto is a dwarf planet. It is even smaller than the U.S. But it wasn't always a dwarf planet. It used to be a planet for a little less than a century. Pluto was actually first called Planet X, which is way cooler than the name Pluto. It is located somewhere at the Kuiper belt. It is the largest object there. *A random fact* Pluto is also the name of a cartoon dog. That means that Pluto is also the name of a dog, which you might know. Yeah, and also, that's the random fact. Anyway, Pluto became a dwarf planet in 2006. It was considered a dwarf planet by the IAU. The reason is that it didn't pass the "How to become a planet" test. Ok, I just made that test name up. It passed all tests except for one. You might not know this but, planets clear their neighbourhood. But Pluto didn't do that. And it is considered as a dwarf planet today with other " not so planet" buddies. They are Ceres, Makemake, Haumea, Eris, and of course Pluto. And Pluto will never become a planet again. And hope you learned how Pluto got kicked out of the planet area to the dwarf planet area, and hope you all enjoyed it. ;)
