Day 1 of teaching you how to play chess.

Creative Writing of Kid

Chess is a game meant for smart people. And I am a smart person. So I will teach you how to play chess in text!

First of all, I will teach you the movement and then go to REAL chess.

So first, the movement of the soldier. The soldier can only move straight. If you are moving the soldier piece at the beginning of the game, you can move two spaces.

And now for the Rook. The Rook moves in a + pattern. It can move up, down, left, and right. But cannot move in a cross pattern. And it's my favourite piece!

So now the other one is the prime minister. It can move in a cross pattern. It is my least favourite piece. So I'll just move on.

Now my 2nd favourite, the Knight! I like it because I could capture so many chess pieces with the help of it. So the horse can move in an L pattern. And it is the only piece that can jump over other pieces.

And now for the most powerful chess piece! Otherwise known as the queen. The queen piece can move in a cross and + pattern. Which makes it the most powerful.

And now for the most "important" piece. The king. They can't move very far in one go. The king can move in a square pattern. And it is the chess piece you have to "protect" But other than that, the King is pretty useless.
