Now, when it comes to pets usually two things come to mind; dogs and cats. Which pet is better has been a significant controversy so, yeah.

                                                   Care

First of all, cats are more independent than dogs. They usually require less care than dogs do. So cats can pretty much survive without you in some specific conditions. Meanwhile, dogs, on the other hand, aren't. They require much more care and need walks and other stuff.

                                      Food

Generally, cats require less food than dogs do. Cats need 167-250 calories a day, but the amount of food necessary for dogs depends on their age. Cats also can't eat alcohol, dog food, chocolate, Grapes, Liver, Milk, Onions, Garlic, and undercooked meat. And dogs can't eat avocados, caffeine, grapes, alcohol, salt, and chocolate.

Really, in conclusion, this depends on our preference. But come on, be honest, a pet rock is better than both.
