Why don't planes simply have parachutes?

 

Alright, we've all thought about this. "Why don't planes simply have parachutes? Well, after this, it'll make a lot of sense.

                            Not everyone can do that!

Well, when you go swimming, you don't immediately know how to swim, do you? Well, pretty much the same case. If a plane crashes, and if there are parachutes, then what are you going to do with it? You have never been trained to use a parachute, so what's the darn use? Also, planes fly too high to just "learn" to parachute. Only professional ones can do those.

                             Too broke for one

Alright, they are expensive. Like, REALLY expensive. And considering how many people are there in a plane, it would cost a lot to get the parachutes. Plus, the other disadvantages pretty much make it useless.

                                   Gotta go fast

Well, in parachuting, you shouldn't jump right after another person did. Because our parachutes could get entangled with the other person's parachute. And with that many people on a plane, it wouldn't line up well.

So they are the reasons planes don't have parachutes! So stop asking why planes don't have parachutes to anyone.
