Why? Why are you, you? You are you, yes, but why. Why are you? When are you? What; are you? These are the questions that have been boggling my mind for two years now. Some of these questions do not have a definite answer. There is no "correct"; and there is no "wrong". What is your use? What is your point? What is the meaning of life, what is the meaning of you? What is the meaning of me? All of those answers will not be found in a single blog. Some philosophers have probably been wondering these their lives, yet never found the answer (maybe because there isn't one). You were expecting answers, weren't you? Well, you aren't getting one 😂. This blog will not have your answers, instead, you will have some questions that will torture your mind.
One of the main questions of philosophy is, "What is the meaning of life". Now, this does not have an answer. I think that the answer to this question is found within you. You do not search for an answer, you make your own answer. You make your answer yourself and answer the question. The meaning of life, is ironically, to find the meaning of life. Or at least, that's what I think is the meaning of life. You will most probably have your own unique answer; which is good. You do not have to follow the crowd and say what they say. You might think that the meaning of life is to be kind, to make a contribution to the world, to serve what you believe in, etc. These may all be correct, but it is not a complete answer. There will never be a complete answer. You will die before it is found. You will never experience what the future generation will have. You will most probably not be alive when humanity is at its peak. You will die without the answers. Also, speaking of death, what is death actually?
Death is simply defined as, not being alive. Simple, that's it. Go to the next paragraph. You got your answer...............or did you? It turns out that death is not a simple topic. Many people have different answers relative to their beliefs. Also, the thing is, death by itself is not a complicated topic. The thing about death that makes it so complex is; what happens after it? There are many theories. Some think that there is a heaven and hell, some think you just go to an eternal sleep, some think you reincarnate, and so on. What makes death different from the other philosophical questions is, that there actually might be a definite answer. It is more of a complicated question, not a brain-tingler. This is typically reserved mostly for the scientists and religious scholars, not the philosophers. You have your own answer, I personally, do not care about your opinion.
Knowing about people, I was able to predict that you were definitely ticked off at the last sentence of the paragraph; but why were you ticked off? It's simple, some random reaction goes in a certain part of the brain with neurons doing this and that, blah blah blah, but why does your brain do that? If you were to question something a lot, then eventually, you will run out of answers and will not be able to answer anything. For example:
Why does water boil?
→ Because it heats past its boiling point.
Why does it boil after going past its boiling point?
→Because it is the way it is.
Why is it the way it is?
→ . . .
The last question is the one that cannot be answered. You can use any other example here. Think of your own question, answering and questioning it again. Do you see a pattern here? No matter WHAT question you ask, it will somehow find its way to this question: (or you can also go to a loop of never-ending questions)
"Why is it the way it is"
Try to answer it. Do it yourself. Some of you might have given an answer. "It is the way it is because God made it the way it is". Look, you're not out of the woods just yet. Question your answer again. Why did God make it the way it is? You see now? This is the beauty of philosophy. You will never know the answer. You were never supposed to find the answer, because there is no answer. Even if you cannot find exactly the reason, you will at least have a better understanding of anything and everything. Try to question everything as much as possible. No matter how much people may shush you, do not imprison your mind the way the world wants it to be. Think for yourself, for once, eh?
